John Cabrera’s H+ Trailer from Comic Con

After 3 years, I’m happy to pass along the great news that John Cabrera‘s (Brian Fuller on Gilmore Girls) H+ web series is on the move!

The series is produced by Bryan Singer for Warner Premiere/Dolphin Entertainment. As you can see, the series does feature John’s long-time pal and Gilmore Girls co-star Sean Gunn (Kirk Gleason on Gilmore Girls).

The series just held a panel at Comic-Con, premiering the trailer you see below:

Sean Gunn in John Cabrera’s "H+"

H+ Summary: “The Digital Series takes viewers on a journey into an apocalyptic future where technology has begun to spiral out of control…. a future where 33% of the world’s population has retired its cell phones and laptops in favor of a stunning new device – an implanted computer system called H+. This tiny tool allows the user’s own mind and nervous system to be connected to the Internet 24 hours a day.

But something else is coming… something dark and vicious… and within seconds, billions of people will be dead… opening the door to radical changes in the political and social landscape of the planet — prompting survivors to make sense of what went wrong.”

You can follow along with the progress of H+ on Facebook or follow John himself on Twitter.

Keiko Agena and Sean Gunn on “The Homes”

Keiko Agena (Lane Kim on Gilmore Girls), who recently put up a new Facebook fan page, and Sean Gunn (Kirk Gleason on Gilmore Girls) have both guest starred on the web series created by Gilmore Girls co-star John Cabrera (Brian Fuller on Gilmore Girls). The Homes is currently airing its 9th episode on Lockerz. Keiko guest starred in one episode as Nami (see photo below) and Sean in another episode as Paul.

John Cabrera in “The Giant Mechanical Man”

John Cabrera (Brian Fuller on Gilmore Girls), who has been busy with production on The Homes, which recently released its first episode, and is soon to fly away for production on the much anticipated H+ web series, has completed production in a small part of The Giant Mechanical Man.

The film is slated as an “offbeat romantic comedy about a silver-painted street performer and the soft spoken zoo worker who falls for him.” John’s character is named Toby and John says we should see him in a funny scene.

The film is set to come out sometime in 2012.

John Cabrera Dreams Up “Gilmore Girls” Spinoff

John Cabrera (Brian Fuller on Gilmore Girls), who recently wrapped up shooting an exciting music-themed web series, is incredibly active in social media. As part of that, he put out an option for people to ask him questions. And they did.

You can read John’s full set of Q&A here, but I thought I’d pull out a fun Gilmore Girls mention. I already warned John about this turning into a post – and he gave me the green light ;)

Is Hep Alien ever going to reunite?

Well if by reunite you mean, are we ever going to play any real gigs again… the answer is probably not, since we never played any real gigs in the first place.

But if you mean, will the band from the show ever be on the screen again for your listening enjoyment… hard to say. Maybe if there was ever a Gilmore Girls movie. The four of use used to joke about how great it would be if there was ever a spin off with the band. It would be called Sub Shack, of course.

Would you watch Sub Shack, the Gilmore Girls Hep Alien spin-off?? I totally would!
