Milo Ventimiglia's Fangoria Interview

Milo Ventimiglia (Jess Mariano on Gilmore Girls) was interviewed by Fangoria about his Berkserker comic, his movies, and his thoughts about the upcoming season of Heroes.

It’s a great interview, so I encourage you to read it in full. Some highlights include:

  • Milo thinks Heroes has a great chance of regaining the spirit of Season 1 again. "Already 3 episodes into the 4th season, I can tell you that it feels like the first season."
  • Milo talks about how graphic the violence is on Berkserker, including group meetings about just which body parts could be "used as clubs if torn free." Lovely thought.
  • Shares his thoughts on some past movies, as well as upcoming appearances in Gamer, Armored, and Order of Chaos.
  • And lastly, answers the question, "Who would win in a fight? Peter Petrelli or Jason Voorhees?" His answer is quite funny.

Pre-Order DVDs with Gilmore Girls Stars

You can now pre-order the DVDs for Heroes – Season Three (starring Milo Vengimialia) & Supernatural: The Complete Fourth Season (starring Jared Padalecki). I personally enjoyed both series’ this past season, though Supernatural was fantastic beyond compare. Heroes made a bit of a comeback, so I look forward to where next season will go!

In addition, you can pre-order Samantha Who?: The Complete Second Season (starring Melissa McCarthy), which (unless the petition is successful) is the last season of the show. The DVD will *probably* contain the un-aired final episodes. Cancelled early in 2008 and also available on DVD are My Own Worst Enemy: The Complete Series (starring Mädchen Amick) and Trust Me (starring Vanessa Marano). And for those David Sutcliffe fans, don’t forget Private Practice: The Complete Second Season .

Gilmore Girls stars made SO many guest appearances on tv in the past year that I can’t name all the DVDs. But you’re sure to find the talented cast appearing in lots of your favorite shows!

"Heroes" Chapter 4 Comes to a Close

Milo Ventimiglia (Jess Mariano on Gilmore Girls) has closed out yet another season on Heroes along with other Gilmore Girls guest stars Christine Rose and Masi Oka. The season had a slow start, but picked up into something more compelling (I think) once the mid-season shifted to Chapter 4: Fugitives. Christine Rose, in particular, really stunned me with the last few episodes. Her storyline, her childhood… they all helped us understand where she was coming from and that perhaps she was really trying to be a good person.

Granted, Season 1 had a “cool” appeal that the show can’t really re-attain, but I think Heroes has found its voice again. The series is back to the characters and to their complex motivations for wanting to be “good”, and how that plays out in complex ways. All of the actors have really taken their characters to the next level – Milo shows us that Peter has the strength to face up to his enemies, but also his family. Christine shows us the pain her character, Angela, has lived with her whole life. And Masi shows us that Hiro must face being a hero, true to his ideals, while it may end up costing him his life.

Heroes Volume 5: Redemption, will return next Fall. But until then, what did you think of the season? Is it ‘back’ for you? Or, like the folks at EW, are you still left wanting more?

"Heroes" and "Supernatural" Hotness

Ok, I think all of you know already that I’m a huge fan of both Heroes and Supernatural, which star Gilmore Girls hunks Milo Ventimiglia and Jared Padalecki. I don’t even care that Heroes ratings are going down, I am still enjoying the season (and personally think ratings are becoming a defunct way to measure a show’s success).

Anyway, I try to post updates regularly here on GilmoreGirlsNews.com about what I think about the progress in each show, sharing as well some new pictures related to the episodes. I now have access to even more photos than I did before, so this post is all about sharing some of that!

Let’s start out with Supernatural, which has had its best season yet (I think) and has a brand new episode tonight! There’s been a lot of tension between the brothers, not to mention the whole angel vs demon dynamic. In tonight’s episode, the boys are leading separate and normal lives… because they have amnesia! Check out more episodic images from next week’s episode (since none were released for tonight’s), as well as a few before, and some hunky photoshoot images I only now had access to post!! "Heroes": Peter is Back!

Milo Ventimiglia (Jess Mariano on Gilmore Girls) is rocking out Heroes Chapter 4: Fugitives. Like Milo said in a recent interview, Heroes has gotten back to some of its roots and a meaner, more grounded good vs evil plotline has emerged. It’s much easier to follow and easier to root for the ‘good guys’. It’s had a lot of great tension and major plot changes. And my biggest applause goes to the fact that Peter is back!!

Milo Ventimiglia’s Peter Petrelli kind of had a weak character in Chapter 3. He seemed to whine a lot but not get much done. Not any longer! That scene on Monday where he jumped onto the car!! Oooh, I nearly cheered for him. That was great. Pretty much the *only* thing I don’t like about Heroes right now is that Matt Parkman (Greg Grunberg) seemed to get a 2nd power a little too conveniently for the plot.

Tune in this Monday to see another episode of Heroes on NBC!

You can also follow Milo Ventimiglia on Twitter! He tweets with his Divide Pictures partner Russ Cundiff at twitter.com/dividepictures. In fact, he recently did a mini-interview with Milo feature revealing that if Milo met Peter, he’d punch him in the face! [Read more...]

Milo Ventimiglia and Hayden Panettiere Split

Milo Ventimiglia (Jess Mariano on Gilmore Girls) and his Heroes co-star Hayden Panettiere have reportedly split. The couple announced that they were dating in December of 2007, not long after Hayden’s 18th birthday.

Milo Ventimiglia and Hayden Panettiere Split

USMagazine is reporting that Milo Ventimiglia & Hayden Panettiere have called it quits after more than a year together. An “insider source” claims that it was a “lifestyle conflict” between Hayden & Milo that caused the rift.

The couple, who were spotted in December enjoying a sun-filled romantic vacation in Bora Bora, may be too different. Hayden, now 19, is young and likes the Hollywood nightlife. Milo, now 31, has been concentrating on his work and his production company, Divide Pictures.

Milo Ventimiglia used to date his Gilmore Girls co-star, Alexis Bledel, also younger, but they broke up in 2006.
