Lauren Graham Shares Family Inspirations
Lauren Graham (Lorelai Gilmore on Gilmore Girls) was recently interviewed by Ladies’ Home Journal about her road to fame – from sitting in foodcourts between auditions to where she is now! She shares some tender memories of her dad and growing up, and he sounds like an incredible person! After his wife left them, for example, he simply told Lauren that he admired her mother for pursuing her passion. Later on, her mom’s passions also inspired her.

“Her impulse was to follow her dream, and that was an inspiration to me.”
Later on, she would have moments of self-doubt, but which she used to advantage: “I’m not prettier than other people, but maybe I can be funnier, or do a more interesting character”
Lauren shares that Lorelai Gilmore on Gilmore Girls was made believable because “She’s my mom, she’s my dad — I could draw on everyone I’d ever known.”
In terms of family, though her mother has passed away, Lauren is close to her British-born half sister, Shade, who have a girls’ night out once a week, usually involving Mexican food.
Milo Ventimiglia for Prestige – Photoshoot & Interview
Milo Ventimiglia’s (Jess Mariano on Gilmore Girls) sat down for his third photoshoot with Prestige Hong Kong magazine – some of the photos are actually self-portraits by Milo himself. He also sat down for an interview during a packed few days in Hong Kong for the Dior Peking Road boutique opening, which we saw here.

In the interview, Milo talks about how lucky he is to be able to pursue so many interests – photography, acting, directing, producing and so much more – he has ideas about so many things, from fashion to furniture.
“There was a time when I wouldn’t sleep more than three or four hours a night. I would go to work, work out, have hobbies, have a social life, family time, and people were trying to keep up with me. It’s about being cautious with your time.
“You know that the clock is always ticking forward. You can never take it back. You can never go on reverse. You can’t fast forward. You’re exactly where you are at the moment you’re supposed to be. So it’s about embracing that and knowing what you want out of your life, knowing what you want out of the moment.”

Lauren Graham on “Health” Magazine
Lauren Graham (Lorelai Gilmore on Gilmore Girls) graces the upcoming cover of Health magazine in which she talks candidly about her idea of health: balance. This is what she calls balance, an ideal day in which she:
“I ate well, I exercised, I called some friends, wasn’t working too hard.”
These days don’t happen all the time, but she’s learned to be at peace with it. For her eating habits, it sounds like Lauren avoids carbs but doesn’t over-obsess. She finds that focusing on her food makes it harder to stay healthy. She focuses on not over-working, which was hard in the past, and on many different types of exercise.
Lauren shares that she never feels super confident about her looks (crazy!), but she’s good at pretending. She feels uncomfortable at events, always wondering if she wore the right thing or walked funny. She hates it when she is criticized for what she wears!
Lauren’s beauty secret is to just be athletic – to get your blood circulating! Sometimes, for her, it’s a quick jump on her mini trampoline.
