Krysten Ritter (Lucy on Gilmore Girls) was seen out last night at the Nigel Barker and The HSUS (Humane Society of the United States) ‘A Sealed Fate?’ Photography Exhibition held at a gallery in LA. Meanwhile, Arielle Kebbel (Lindsay Lister then Forester) attended Maxim’s 10th annual Hot 100 Celebration last night in Santa Monica. Arielle was at #48 on the list this year.
Alexis Bledel (Rory Gilmore on Gilmore Girls) sure is making the rounds this Spring! Last night, Alexis headed down to Pier 17 in NYC for a shipboard party held on The Majesty Yacht. The party helped H&M celebrate Matthew Williamson as designer for them.
Alexis, among other celebrities, was seen wearing one of Matthew Williamson’s signature collection, though not the collection you can buy at H&M. The dress Alexis is wearing is Williamson’s Neon baroque jersey beaded mini dress (code 3166787). [Read more...]
At the party, Alexis shared that her dress was designed by Cushnie et Ochs, and also sharing some other tidbits about her life: about being bad at buying birthday presents, about her role in The Good Guy, about loving the parks in New York and about the kinds of roles she’d like to play in movies. Alexis Bledel (Rory Gilmore on Gilmore Girls) was at the Tribeca Film Festival for the world premiere of her movie The Good Guy last night. Alexis was not afraid to bare some skin in her side-cut black dress, looking extremely elegant!
Alexis Bledel, in an interview this weekend, talked about how she gravitates towards the “quiet, intellectual” roles, since she herself is not an outgoing person. Alexis talks about working on The Good Guy, about working with Scott Porter, about how women are competitive, and about living in New York (Alexis is considering a permanent move there). Earlier this week I shared with you Megan’s experience meeting Lauren Graham on April 17th, and now I have another great fan experience from Michael, who has been a long-time reader of GilmoreGirlsNews.com and is great at passing news tips!
I actually got to meet her, and she was SO sweet and nice! I got two pictures of me and her (excuse the zoom). We also told her that we came there for my birthday, so she signed my Luke’s hat Happy Birthday, and also signed my Playbill!!!!! It was incredible!!! While backstage, I saw some of her costumes, wigs, props, sets, and saw where she does some of her quick changes! The backstage is so small that in order to get to the other side of the stage, everyone has to go in a small narrow hallway underneath the stage with all of the tech rooms on either sides. My experience was amazing, and it is the highlight of my life!!!!!!!!!!!
Sounds like a once-in-a-lifetime experience! Check out the other photos Michael has shared with us: [Read more...]
I was working on a new design for GilmoreGirlsNews.com yesterday (it’s coming soon!) and came across a work of art that went perfectly with our discussion of Lorelai’s wedding dress yesterday! Gumby16 loved Lorelai’s wedding dress and decided to make it into a cartoon:
The improvement here: the artist made Lorelai “makin’ a funnier face”, since that seemed far more in character. It’s fantastically done!
Megan wanted to share with us her experience of going to watch Guys and Dolls in New York and meeting Lauren Graham. Megan shares that the theatrical production is a “really cute story” and that Lauren Graham did an amazing job with both the singing and the acting.
Megan went to see Guys and Dolls on April 17th and went to the stage door after in order to meet Lauren. She shares that the crowd outside started to freak out when Lauren came outside, but she managed to get some autographs and a hug from Lauren! Since Megan was only in New York for a short time, she went back a second time to see her again.
“she’s so pretty and nice in person and she’s halarious! she was making everyone laugh! and the second day i saw her, there wasn’t as many people so we were just talking to her like she was out friend or something!”
