Gilmore Girls ATX Festival – A Photo Line-Up

The Gilmore Girls reunion at the ATX Festival brought back Stars Hollow for a gathering that likely hasn’t happened, even off screen, since the show went off the air. The actors seemed so happy to get back together! I am sorting through the hundreds (thousands?) of photos, and will likely highlight more in other posts, but for now here’s a little look at some amazing moments shared on the panel and at the press gatherings:

Given the vast amount of content covered at the show, and my current sprained wrist, I’ll be covering as much as I can in individual posts, so we can discuss all that went down!

Hep Alien Still Hep!

The mighty John Cabrera (Brian with the deviated septum) tweeted last week that he, Keiko Agena (Lane) and Todd Lowe (Zack) jammed earlier this month, reprising vocals and drums for a rendition of The White Stripes’ Fell In Love With A Girl.  How cool?  Damn cool.  Photographic evidence right here.

Melissa McCarthy loses out to Veep but still schwings

Congratulations and commiserations to Melissa McCarthy for her Emmy nomination as Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series.  Last night’s ceremony saw Julia Louis Dreyfus taking the award for Veep, but wowsers did Melissa look great…

fab hair too

It was a tough year, with contenders like Lena Dunham (Girls), Edie Falco (Nurse Jackie), Amy Poehler (Parks and Recreation) and Taylor Schilling (Orange is the New Black).

Of course, we don’t take the Emmys that seriously here, with Gilmore Girls being virtually snubbed, receiving one lonely nomination during the seven years, for Outstanding Make-Up for a Series (Non-Prosthetic) – for the Festival of Living Art episode.  Which it won, obviously.

Don’t you think Melissa looks great?  Why do you think the Emmys seemed to snub Gilmore Girls?  Did Julia Louis Dreyfus deserve the win or do you think Melissa should have won? Would Gilmore Girls have had a movie by now if it had received more awards?

Alexis Bledel at the SAG Awards

Alexis Bledel made a red carpet appearance for the SAG Awards on January 27th looking stunning in a floor-length green gown from Rena Lange. Alexis Bledel is currently dating Vincent Kartheiser of Mad Men, who she was seen with at this event. The couple met on the set of Mad Men for Alexis’ guest role where Alexis’ character played the “sex-starved mistress” of Vincent’s character Pete Campbell. The couple began dating in early summer 2012. He seems smitten.

Where is Alexis Bledel now?

Aside from on Twitter, we can expect to see Alexis Bledel in the upcoming indie film The Brass Teapot, in the film, Parts Per Billion, which shot this past December and will release in 2014, and continues to be in pre-production for another film, The Letters
