Arielle Kebbel Joins “90210″

Arielle Kebbel (Lindsay Lister then Forester on Gilmore Girls) has been cast in a recurring role for 90210. She will play Vanessa, a “charismatic, edgy and vivacious former bad girl who enjoys a little risk-taking now and again.”

Arielle’s character Vanessa will become romantically involved with one of the leading men on 90210, though as yet we’re not sure who.

Arielle’s arc in the series will begin airing this December.

Scott Patterson Cast in “The Boys of Abu Ghraib”

Scott Patterson (Luke Danes on Gilmore Girls) was recently announced as starring in The Boys of Abu Ghraib.

The film is about an American soldier deployed at Abu Ghraib who finds himself behind the walls of the infamous Hard Site where he develops a secret friendship with an Iraqi detainee. Scott Patterson plays Captain Hayes in the film.

Melissa McCarthy Joins Judd Apatow’s Next Movie

Melissa McCarthy (Sookie on Gilmore Girls) has been tapped to join the new comedy, as yet untitled, being written and directed by Judd Apatow, whom Melissa worked with on Bridesmaids.

The details of the film are being kept hush hush for now, but we do know that fellow cast members include Ryan Lee, Megan Fox, John Lithgow, Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann. The film currently has the working title of This is Forty.

Some people are calling this film a Knocked Up spin-off.

Production on the film has just begun.

Milo Ventimiglia Joins “I Hate You Dad”

02.jpgMilo Ventimiglia (Jess Mariano on Gilmore Girls) has joined the cast of a new comedy film, I Hate You Dad, with Adam Sandler, Leighton Meester and Andy Samberg.

Adam Sandler stars as a father who moves in with his son and fiancée on the eve of their wedding only to start feuding with his to-be daughter-in-law.

Milo will be playing a “menacing Iraq War veteran who has an overly loving relationship with Meester, who plays his sister.”

The film is scheduled to be released on June 15, 2012.

When I heard the news, I was hoping that Milo had landed a lead comedic role. Too bad. Anyway, this should still be great.

Milo Ventimiglia to Voice Wolverine

Milo Ventimiglia’s (Jess Mariano on Gilmore Girls) has been cast as the voice of the new anime series for Marvel Television in Wolverine.

Milo is fulfilling a comic-geek’s dream by landing the title role in Wolverine, which will air on the G4 cable network later this year.

The Marvel Anime series is introducing Marvel characters to a Japanese audience in a 12-part series. The series will then be later released to a US audience with an English cast.

Milo will appear in two episodes, one focused on Wolverine and one on X-Men.

Tricia O’Kelley Cast in CBS Comedy

Tricia O’Kelley (Nicole Leahy on Gilmore Girls) has landed a role on another CBS comedy pilot, previously having a regular role on The New Adventures of Old Christine.

The currently un-titled project centres on a blue-collar guy who wrestles with how to parent his unmarried grown daughter Eileen (Becki Newton) and her 12-year-old son while sharing a house with them as well as his wife and recently widowed mother.

Tricia will play Eileen’s older sister, who’s happily married with two well-behaved kids.

Also starring is Shane McRae and Tanner Buchanan.

Katie Walder to Guest on “Supernatural”


Katie Walder (Janet Billings on Gilmore Girls) is set to guest star in an upcoming episode of Supernatural with Jared Padalecki (Dean Forester on Gilmore Girls). Katie stars in the April 15th episode ‘My Heart Will Go On’ as Fate, who intervenes after things go awry with historical events:

After Balthazar (guest star Sebastian Roche) changes history and keeps the Titanic from sinking, Fate (guest star Katie Walder) intervenes and begins killing those that would have died on the ship. Castiel (Misha Collins) tells Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) that Fate is very upset with the two of them and the only way they can stay alive is to kill her. Mike Rohl directed the episode written by Bret Matthews (618).

This will be a recurring role on Supernatural for Katie.

According to her fan page, Katie also recently guest starred on Mad Love on CBS as Tyler Labine’s obsession: The White Whale.
