Milo Ventimiglia’s (Jess Mariano on Gilmore Girls) recently gained a lot of attention for his voice acting as Wolverine / Logan in the new Marvel anime series, but that isn’t his only voice acting work. Milo was also recently announced as one of the key voice actors in the game X-Men Destiny, which just released the following teaser at Comic-Con:

Here also are some shots of Milo as featured in the July 2011 of Elle Korea:

John Cabrera’s H+ Trailer from Comic Con

After 3 years, I’m happy to pass along the great news that John Cabrera‘s (Brian Fuller on Gilmore Girls) H+ web series is on the move!

The series is produced by Bryan Singer for Warner Premiere/Dolphin Entertainment. As you can see, the series does feature John’s long-time pal and Gilmore Girls co-star Sean Gunn (Kirk Gleason on Gilmore Girls).

The series just held a panel at Comic-Con, premiering the trailer you see below:

Sean Gunn in John Cabrera’s "H+"

H+ Summary: “The Digital Series takes viewers on a journey into an apocalyptic future where technology has begun to spiral out of control…. a future where 33% of the world’s population has retired its cell phones and laptops in favor of a stunning new device – an implanted computer system called H+. This tiny tool allows the user’s own mind and nervous system to be connected to the Internet 24 hours a day.

But something else is coming… something dark and vicious… and within seconds, billions of people will be dead… opening the door to radical changes in the political and social landscape of the planet — prompting survivors to make sense of what went wrong.”

You can follow along with the progress of H+ on Facebook or follow John himself on Twitter.

Wayne Wilcox in “The Normal Heart”

Wayne Wilcox (Marty aka ‘naked guy’ on Gilmore Girls) currently stars in the Tony-Award Winning play, The Normal Heart, playing through July 10th

Summery: The story of a city in denial over an unspoken epidemic, THE NORMAL HEART unfolds like a real-life political thriller, as doctors, politicians and even the press take turns burying the truth behind a wall of silence. A quarter-century after it was first written, this outrageous, unflinching, and totally unforgettable look at the sexual politics of New York during the AIDS crisis remains one of the theatre’s most powerful evenings ever.

Here is the cast talking about the production:

Wayne was also recently interviewed by The Broadway Blog about being a part of the play, life in New York, and even some fun personal questions.

Wayne recently starred in the film Under, which premiered at the Columbia University Film Festival in April.

Vanessa Marano’s “Switched at Birth” A Hit

Vanessa Marano (April Nardini on Gilmore Girls) currently stars in the recently-premiered new series on ABC Family, Switched at Birth. The show was ABC Family’s most-watched series debut ever, pulling in 3.3 million viewers in its first airing and another 1.6 million in its second timeslot, an impressive figure for an ABC Family series.

Though the premise of the series is a little “blah” sounding (Parent Trap, anyone?), the show apparently becomes a fantastic drama with relatable characters. You’ll be amused, I’m sure, by how the “switched at birth” part came into play. Vanessa’s character, Bay, does a DNA sample and finds out her parents are not her parents… sound like April to you?!

Here’s Vanessa introducing you to the series:

There’s also a great interview with Vanessa here talking about her character and some of the overarching themes of the new series.

Have you seen Switched at Birth?

Liza Weil on “Anyone But Me”

Liza Weil (Paris Gellar on Gilmore Girls) who won an Indie Soap Award for Outstanding Guest Appearance for her work on the Anyone But Me web series, has returned as Dr. Glass in the most recent episode, ‘Mapping Home’. Check it out below:

John Stephens Pens Young Adult Lit

John Stephens, who was writer and executive producer on 20 episodes of Gilmore Girls, has just released his first novel, The Emerald Atlas. The book is aimed at children and young readers and is set to become the first book in a series.

Kate, Michael, and Emma have been in one orphanage after another for the last ten years, passed along like lost baggage.

Yet these unwanted children are more remarkable than they could possibly imagine. Ripped from their parents as babies, they are being protected from a horrible evil of devastating power, an evil they know nothing about.

The New York Times reviewed the book, as did many others, noting that it has the potential for film adaptation. Indeed, they even made a trailer for the book promotion!

“Necessary Roughness” with Scott Cohen Sets Premiere Date

Scott Cohen (Max Medina on Gilmore Girls) stars in the upcoming USA Network series Necessary Roughness, now set to premiere on June 29th at 10pm. Hopefully he’ll have more success with this series than he did with The Return of Jezebel James!

Summary: Dr. Dani Santino (Callie Thorne) seems to have it all figured out: she’s got a beautiful home, a successful husband, two great kids, and a satisfying career as a psychotherapist. But when she catches her husband cheating, Dani’s perfect world begins to unravel. Fortunately, Dani’s counseling skills soon land her a gig as the team therapist for the local football franchise, the New York Hawks, and before she can say “Hail Mary” Dani has managed to help the team’s star wide receiver and become the most sought-after therapist on Long Island, with high-profile clients from athletes to entertainers clamoring for her unique brand of therapy. But though her career is reenergized, it doesn’t take Dani long to realize that balancing the demands of work and family won’t be easy. It’s a good thing she’s tough, because one thing’s for sure: Dani’s about to have a whole lot of new issues to tackle.

Scott Cohen stars as a sports “fixer” for the Hawks, Nico. He has no problem getting his hands dirty and turns up often with emergency assignments for Dani.
