Scott Cohen (Max Medina on Gilmore Girls) has been cast in the USA pilot series, Necessary Roughness.

Roughness centers on tough, sexy Long Island divorcee Danielle Santino (Callie Thorne), who, to make ends meet, becomes the therapist for a professional football team and quickly becomes sought after by other athletes, musicians, politicians and those living in the spotlight. Cohen will play a “fixer” for a football franchise who works closely with Danielle.

Aside from guest star roles and movies, Scott’s most regular television appearance since the end of Gilmore Girls was in the failed Amy Sherman-Palladino series, The Return of Jezebel James.

Scott Cohen in “Hawaii Five-0″

Scott Cohen (Max Medina on Gilmore Girls) guest starred in the second episode of new CBS drama Hawaii Five-0.

The episode, ‘Ohana’, aired on September 27th, involved the violent abduction of an ex-NSA cyber-terrorism expert (Roland Lowery played by Scott Cohen) which could potentially lead to a breach of national security.

If you watch the video above, you’ll see Scott in the earliest part of the video… and again later, of course.

Scott Cohen in “Please Give”

Scott Cohen (Max Medina on Gilmore Girls) will be co-starring in the film, Please Give, as Dr. Lerner. The film is about a husband and wife who butt heads with the granddaughters of the elderly woman who lives in an apartment the couple owns.

From what I can tell, Scott’s role is quite minor. Too bad.

The Cape Code Theatre Project has announced that Scott Cohen will take a leading role in their production of The Color of Desire.

As the revolution heats up, in Havana, a dashing American businessman hires a young Cuban actress for an unlikely role in this story of intrigue, seduction and the pursuit of freedom.

The production will begin on July 15th and last for just 3 days. Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Nilo Cruz’s The Color of Desire premiered earlier this year for the first time.

Scott Cohen on “Grey’s Anatomy”

As mentioned earlier this week, Scott Cohen (Max Medina on Gilmore Girls) guest starred in the April 29th episode of Grey’s Anatomy, ‘Hook, Line and Sinner.’ The episode featured a very popular cardio surgeon coming to the hospital to perform a surgery… and to perhaps consider taking over the deparment.

Scott Cohen played this surgeon, Tom Evans, who almost has celebrity status in the surgery field. Indeed, Cristina Yang was enamored with him… until Teddy reminded her that, though the surgery was fantastic, she merely observed it. Tom was a terrible teacher.

There are some good scenes with Scott, so enjoy the video above!

Scott Cohen (Max Medina on Gilmore Girls) guest starred on the April 19th episode of Castle on ABC.

The episode, “Den of Thieves”, was about Castle and Beckett investigating the murder of a thief and learning that Esposito has a personal connection to the suspected killer. Scott Cohen played a detective in the episode, Lt. Stan Holliwell.

Scott Cohen Lands Comedy Pilot

Love And Other Impossible Pursuits Premiere - 34th Annual Toronto International Film Festival

Scott Cohen (Max Medina on Gilmore Girls) has landed a lead role in a new comedy pilot on ABC Family.

The new series has not yet been named, but we do know it will co-star Stephanie Childers. The comedy series focuses on a laid-off architect (Scott’s role) who mentors his middle daughter, known as a bit of an underdog in the family. Meanwhile, his wife (Childers) bonds with their more type-A eldest daughter.

Definitely sounds like a family series!
