Haunted Body Parts

As one of my twitter followers cleverly pointed out, the most recent episode of Supernatural, starring Jared Padalecki (Dean Forester on Gilmore Girls), had a similarity to Gilmore Girls.

The Supernatural episode, “Mannequin 3: The Reckoning” had to do with mannequins that come to life. Sort of. Without spoiling things for those of you who have yet to see the episode, there is a haunted kidney involved.

Yep, a haunted kidney. Sound familiar? It’s like the episode of Gilmore Girls titled ‘Haunted Leg‘! In this episode, Lorelai quips:

“Just once I’d like to be able to say, “Yeah, I’m not feeling so good, my leg is haunted.”"

Ok, so they’re not similar, but there can’t be that many shows out there with haunted body part references!

Gilmore Girls Actors in Awards Season

1294754_blue_ribbon.jpgThe awards season is upon us and, to be sure, I know I’m probably missing many Gilmore Girls actors who are being nominated for their work. Please feel free to let me know if I miss something!

Two came to my attention today…

Liza Weil (Paris Gellar on Gilmore Girls) was nominated for an Indie Soap Award for Outstanding Guest Appearance for her work on the Anyone But Me web series.

In TV Guide Magazine’s Fan Favorites Awards, Jared Padalecki (Dean Forester on Gilmore Girls) was nominated for Favorite Actor for Supernatural, and the show for Favorite Sci-Fi Show up against Todd Lowe‘s (Zack Van Gerbig on Gilmore Girls)True Blood.

So go… vote!

Gilmore Guys in Best Looking Fathers & Sons

Because “sometimes good looks are genetic,” BuddyTV has put together a list of their 25 hottest father-son combos on TV… including the hot combo of Jess & Jimmy Mariano.

Yeah, sure, Jess got his looks from his dad… but seriously, as far as show combos go, that’s not much of one… we barely saw Jimmy!

Oh well, any Gilmore Girls mention is a good thing, right?! Also included on the list was our very own Scott Patterson (Luke Danes on Gilmore Girls) from his guest stint on 90201 as Finn Court, Chad Michael Murray (Tristan Dugray on Gilmore Girls) from his stint as Lucas Scott on One Tree Hill, and our hottie Jared Padalecki (Dean Forester on Gilmore Girls) along with his ‘Dad’ and ‘brother’ on Supernatural:

Jared Padalecki on TV Guide

Jared Padalecki (Dean Forester on Gilmore Girls) and his Supernatural co-star Jensen Ackles are on the cover of this month’s TV Guide, winning the cover as part of a poll for fan favorite show.

Supernatural: Good or Evil

Supernatural, starring Jared Padalecki (Dean Forester on Gilmore Girls), has impressively managed to keep inventing itself. Though we all wondered where this successful series could ‘Go’ after the whole Devil / End of the World thing, it managed to find somewhere. This season, it’s all about Good and Evil. And the latest poster sums that up:

Who is good and who is evil? What is Sam? Is he evil… or is it Dean who is, from his actions against Sam? What about Castiel? Has he lost his humanity? Is he evil now? Wow – this whole brotherly thing is fantastic… and that last episode was just amazing. Really puts this poster into perspective.

“Supernatural” Season 6 Preview
