Alexis Bledel Wins First Emmy Award

While Gilmore Girls may have been noticeably snubbed at this year’s Emmy Awards – and all Emmy Awards of the past – Gilmore Girls star Alexis Bledel took home her first Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actress for A Handmaid’s Tale. Alexis took him the award at last week’s Creative Arts Emmy and was on hand last night at the Emmy Awards to present one of the awards, and taking the stage once again as The Handmaid’s Tale accepted the award for Outstanding Drama Series.

“I just remember feeling really surprised and really honored to accept this. I’m so grateful to be a part of this show, so being singled out for being on this show is just very special to me personally.

It’s really an incredible thing when creating art inspires conversation and is thought provoking enough to stand out in this way. It’s really just an honor to do the work and be a part of that and be a part of the conversation in that way.”

Show writer, Bruce Miller, took a nod to Gilmore Girls in accepting his own award, thanking MGM and Hulu for “supporting us when we wanted to do horrible things to Rory Gilmore.”

The Gilmore Girls Emmy snub situation is the stuff of conspiracy but Alexis is a class act.

Thanks God she did not get the award for “A year in the life”, because that was the most horrible sequel ever produced. It managed to distroy a wonderfull series. Watching it was a terrible experience that felt like an Insult to all the fans. The producers of “A year in the life” do not deserve any award, they deserve rotten tomatos to their face.

Gilmore Girls is a 7 year tale of what young women should NOT do in their life. These girls were so self absorbed that they destroyed ever man that they came in touch with. BOTH mom and daughter toyed with good men that endedup better off without them. Rory family name got her through school. Her stupidity and selfishness got her the deadend job at Stars Hallow Paper. I had my daughter’s watch as much of this show as they could stand. That way they could see what NOT to do in their lives. It worked. Their both every accomplished young ladies. Rory didnt learn a thing from all of her mothers huge mistakes. Rory was treated as someone special and real life showed her that she NOT special! She made every wrong decision in the How To Be A Moral Women
Handbook. Good Riddens Gilmores. Best wishes to all the great men that were mislead and trampled on by the town sluts. RUN LUKE RUN!!!
