Lauren Graham to Star in “Linda From HR”

Matt Czuchry is not the only one heading to FOX. Lauren Graham has landed the leading role in the Fox comedy pilot Linda From HR.

The comedy focuses on Linda Plugh (Lauren Graham), an HR employee “whose one bad decision throws her monotonous, unfulfilled existence into an exciting but dangerous tailspin of balancing her work life, her home life and a secret that could unravel everything.”

Penned by Itai Grunfeld and Geoff Barbanelle, the half-hour comedy series will co-star Tim DeKay (as Linda’s husband) and Zachary Knighton.

Lauren Graham is also set to join HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm with a multi-episode arc, although it’s all very hush hush about the character she’ll be playing. Lauren has also been working with Mae Whitman on The Royal We, a movie adaptation of the beloved novel by Heather Cocks and Jessica Morgan. That project is still listed as in development.

What do all of these new pilots mean? Well, if they get picked up, they add some complication to the potential filming for more Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, but not insurmountable complications. As demonstrated in the first Netflix revival, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life shot in a brief 3-month window, which is a very flexible amount of time for many actors. With Matt Czuchry, Alexis Bledel, Lauren Graham and Milo Ventimiglia (let’s be honest, the big questions all revolve around them!) all attached to shows, there would be some complicated juggling to do. But again, not insurmountable!
