Milo’s Take on Rory’s Predicament

Share

On the red carpet at the Golden Globes, Variety spoke to Milo Ventimiglia and asked him about the mystery surrounding Rory’s baby daddy:

I don’t think it’s any of the three guys at all.  I don’t know. You know what, I haven’t really sat around and thought about it, wondered who it was, so I’ll be as surprised as anyone else is.

I have my own theory that it’s the Wookie.  And the Wookie is…Marty!

Still, I can’t quite remember if Marty professed any proclivities to either cosplaying Star Wars or being a furry.  We do know that Marty is capable of odd behavior in relation to Rory, given the way he pretended to Lucy he didn’t know Rory.  So it’s not a stretch to think he didn’t reveal his identity during their encounter.  He might have thought that disclosing this would have ruined his chances with her.

Anyhow, I always liked Marty and forgave him his odd behavior, chalking it up to his being devastated over Rory’s rejection.

Of course, just about any male on the planet could have been in that costume.  Which doesn’t narrow things down a bit.

Why do people keep thinking it’s the Wookie? That was six months before and at six months pregnant it’s pretty damned hard to hide.

Great thinking…one of my bright family members came up with that logic too. My money’s on Logan. I’m told the French have no problems with love children and the mistress is an acceptable feature of many marriages. So he can go ahead and enjoy a marriage of social convenience with his French fiancee, while honouring his responsibilities to his love child…if modern women still feel he has some.

I think thank that Logan is the father of Rory’s baby who else could it be, she was with him the most through all 4 episodes And clearly they weren’t over each other in the first place, they have been in love since the last season in my opinion Logan and Rory belong together and have a family

That`s an interesting point of view. But to make that happen, it would need Lorelai and Luke to harvest their eggs and sperm.. Which they didn’t, since Luke still thought that he would have to sleep with all those women to get a baby. I would’ve loved the idea though…

For me, If she’s with any of the 3, she should be with Jess. According to ASP, she is now in the same situation as her Mom. Logan will be her Christopher and Jess will be her Luke. I wasn’t really impressed with the new episodes. She seemed too flighty for Rory. #TEAMJESS!

My money’s on Logan being the father of Rory’s baby. And, I really enjoyed the new episodes.

Rory’s going through a rut with her career and it makes sense that she might overlook some things in regards to birth control. Everyone goes through a rut with their careers now and then, even completely changing careers. I wasn’t surprised that Rory was flailing and I’m not surprised that she’s pregnant. The two go hand in hand. It’ll be interesting to see what happens with Rory’s career. Will she remain a journalist? Will she become a popular book author? Will she she decide to teach at Chilton? Will she run the Stars Hollow Gazette while becoming a popular author? At this point, we don’t know.

I do believe that Logan really does love Rory. He’s entering into a “marriage of convenience” with the French heiress. In fact, he and his fiance may have an agreement which allows them to see other people. But Logan will always love Rory and they just might get together someday.

On the other hand, I don’t believe that Jess was pining away for Rory. I think he’d put away romantic thoughts a long time ago. When Luke brought it up, it made him think about Rory again. So, a rekindling of the romance between Jess and Rory is definitely a possibility. In fact, I’m betting that their relationship is rekindled.

The only thing that could throw a wrench into my scheme is Dean becoming a widower or divorced father of four. You never know the writers will do, but I hope they make it complex. By the time they get around to doing another sequel, Supernatural may have ended.

And, I do look forward to seeing what Lorelai does with her plans for opening new hotels and what Emily does with her new “life.” And, I’d like to see more of Lane and Hep Alien.

What her pregnancy does suggest is that everything comes around full circle. And the circle continues with Rory’s pregnancy.

Although I definitely don’t want a Gilmore-Huntzberger baby, I do think Logan is the father.

Also, it makes no sense to be the Wookie. I mean, Rory is smart; it wouldn’t take her six months to figure out she was pregnant.
