Alexis Bledel appeared last night on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon to talk about Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life. The quality of interviews has gone up now, since the actors are no longer required to remain spoiler-free. In this interview, for example, Alexis shares how she was “very shocked” about the Final Four words. She was also “surprised” by Rory’s continued issues with cheating, saying perhaps Rory was “not that emotionally connected” to the situation. I personally felt like Rory wasn’t emotionally connected to much at all.
Matt Czuchry spoke with Entertainment Tonight about the surprising romance between Rory and Logan, with Logan cheating on his fiancee and Rory cheating on her 2-year boyfriend (poor forgettable Paul).
“I think they were both in the same place at the same time. Rory and Logan have always had a love for each other that has gone back and forth, and they’ve never really wanted to say goodbye. They’re both in the same place at the same time in this particular story, so it’s a mutual relationship that they’re carrying on.”
“I think it’s a little uncomfortable for [Rory] even though she’s kind of putting on a brave face that she’s fine with it. I think she’s actually not that emotionally connected to it. I think she’s kind of just going through the motions at this point when we pick up with them.”
On Jimmy Fallon, Alexis also chose her Top 4, choosing Caesar, Babette, Miss Patty and Kirk, and then plays Would You Rather!
