Hot on the heels of the new Season-inspired key art this morning, Netflix has released eight new production stills from Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life that give fans a look into scenes from the revival.
The first still, as above, portrays a Friday Night Dinner in the Gilmore house and includes appearances by Scott Patterson, Kelly Bishop, Alexis Bledel, Lauren Graham, and a portrait of the recently passed Edward Herrmann. The image is a reminder that the revival will focus on the death of Richard Gilmore and how the tragedy effects the lives of the three Gilmore Girls.
Three of the stills include close-ups of Alexis Bledel, Lauren Graham, and Scott Patterson in their respective outfits from different Seasons of the show. Scott’s still is from the Summer episode, while Alexis & Lauren are shown from the Winter episode.
The fifth still includes Emily Kuroda, Keiko Agena, and Alexis Bledel at a booth selling Korean food at what appears to be an International Food Festival.
The sixth still is our first, official glance at one of Rory’s beaus in the revival. Milo Ventimiglia and Scott Patterson are depicted sitting in Luke’s Diner having a conversation about a shocking topic based on Scott’s expression. Jess Mariano’s character appears to have stayed the same, dressing in similar clothing and sporting a similar hair style as in Season 6.
The seventh and final still consists of Scott Patterson, Lauren Graham, and Alexis Bledel at an event. The event could be the food festival portrayed in still number five based on Bledel’s similar outfit. Bledel is holding an iPhone in her hand which begs the question: How big of a part will technology play in the revival and how will each character interact with technology?
