New Gilmore Girls Still Revealed in Interview with Lauren & Alexis

Share

Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel were recently interviewed by People magazine, talking about the upcoming Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, the 4-part revival of Gilmore Girls coming to Netflix on November 25th. In the interview, Lauren Graham talks about the loss of Edward Herrmann, who she shares “would have loved” the new series. As a big supporter of the show throughout his time, I can only imagine this to be true.

Lauren shares that though the loss of Edward Herrmann has been difficult, the loss of Richard Gilmore (his character on Gilmore Girls), gave the show “a new complexity and depth,” as we’ve heard before, almost as a “tribute” to Edward.

Lauren shares that walking back into the Gilmore mansion had its own surreal moment for her:

Walking back into the Gilmore house made me feel like, ‘I’m at home. I have to behave. Sit up straight!’

Alexis shares that the mother-daughter dynamic, which has progressed to women supporting each other, continues to be what fans have always loved:

“Their dynamic is so unique. There’s nothing else like it.”

In addition to these insights, People magazine shared a new still of Lauren Graham and co-star Alexis Bledel, which looks to be from the ‘Winter’ episode, the opening episode of Gilmore Girls

Rory and Logan forever! I don’t care what anyone has to say, hands down Logan was the best man for Rory! I’m really upset about how the end their relationship it didn’t make much sense to me. Because they were so in love and then that was it. Um makes me wonder what it could have been, because I don’t think it was over. I think her decided was also based on what her mother thinks. Just saying.

I think that she already let that time behind her,but that’s a fact that any kind of serious commitment is hard for Rory to decide (I love you-with Dean at first) because of Lorelai’s lifestyle, which they both have been used to.(that makes Lorelai’s relationships herder, too).

Anyway,I can’t wait to see the new episodes :)
