Gilmore girls: A Year In The Life

It looks like we have an official title! The Netflix revival of Gilmore girls, tentatively titled Gilmore girls: Seasons, has now received an official title: Gilmore girls: A year in the life.

The news was released on the Netflix Twitter account with a cute little video:

Lauren Graham was on Ellen (taped during filming) as well to talk about the release as well as her upcoming book release, I’m talking as fast as I can.

She looks so excited and pleased. I love the promo Netflix used to announce the title. It just perfectly captures the spirit of Gilmore girls. Waiting is going to be so hard, especially since we won’t have any more stories and photos trickling out from the set any more.

Honestly, prefer ‘Seasons’. This title is rather cheesy. No matter. Still looking forward to the series.

Seasons [shout out to Carol King] gets a yay, A year in the Life a bit of a yawn. Sounds like a decade old rewarmed WB froggy promo with the too cutsey “more” alliteration.

I don’t mind the poster. It’s cutesy as heck, but I wouldn’t expect anything different. The promotion for this show (and most female centered shows) has always been incredibly cutesy. It’s the title that leaves me wanting.

Gotta agree with John; this is a pretty terrible name. “Seasons” was MUCH better. Doesn’t dampen my enthusiasm, but it’s the first fly in the ointment.

I have been single without any dates raising my daughter alone by choice from 2003 till present -she is now in College and gone. Watching the Gilmore Girls and how realistic it is felt so real to me as I relived many of the situations. I feel blessed to have a witty funny rapport with my daughter and close bond like the show. Bravo to the writers for such an inspirational real script!

I guess I was thinking a simpler alliteration – something like Live more, Laugh more, Love more, Gilmore. The talk more goes without saying [for obvious reasons] and the eat more is a canard at best since the actors barely touch the food and for younger viewers is also a poor subliminal message if they don’t recognize it’s just supposed to be a cute joke.

I couldn’t wait for Gilmore Girls..A Year in a Life. I am an avid Gilmore Girls fan.
Well, I could not and still cannot believe we waited for those last four words. Mom, Yeah, I’m pregnant. Unbelievable. They made Rory look like a failure. Having an affair with Logan. No job, no home and pregnant. And, Jess??? Why couldn’t they resume their relationship? I really hope there will be more episodes. I know I am not the only one that is so dissappointed. There are still so many issues unresolved. To be honest, it looks like they put this show together with no real thought into it. All you fans want more.
