A Look at Life on Gilmore Girls This Week

Share

I’ve been keeping you in the loop on all the major happenings with this, the last week of filming for Gilmore Girls: Seasons, the highly-anticipated revival to Gilmore Girls. I’ve shared with you Keiko Agena’s last day on set, the last day on set for Lauren Graham, Scott Patterson and Alexis Bledel, some scenes with actors in swimsuits, which we now know to be at the “Stars Hollow Municipal Pool,” but there are often even more photos that don’t fit in with a specific narrative or discussion. Sometimes I post them directly to the GilmoreNews Facebook page, before grouping them here. Sometimes not.

Here are just a few of those that have come up for me recently:

First let’s start with the awesome video Tanc Sade (Finn) shared of the full Life & Death Brigade riding around the WB Backlot in a golf cart. Super cute.

Here is a recent one from Tanc Sade (Finn) who shares with us another behind-the-scenes look at the major Tango scene the Life & Death Brigade is undertaking, this one with the Dancing With The Stars Season 10 contestant, Brittany Cherry:

And speaking of Tango, here are more dancers!

Here is a funny little video of Mitchell Gregorio on the set, from the day they shot the pool scenes:

Here’s one from past writer Stan Zimmerman, who shows us the state of the Stars Hollow Gazebo (sob), which though *off set* isn’t gone completely (promising??)

A look at the other side of production, with some of the last outfits purchased for the show, and a look at the wardrobe department!

And speaking of wardrobe, it looks like Lauren Graham and Melissa McCarthy have the same taste in clothing!

And here’s one last gem of Alexis Bledel and Mae Whitman, who as you know will have a cameo on Gilmore Girls, uniting the worlds of Parenthood and Gilmore Girls at last! It looks like Mae Whitman and Alexis Bledel have become fast friends! The two worked together in a live reading of Wes Jones’ script, ‘College Republicans’ in late April:

Any fans of Kathleen Wilhoite (Liz Danes) out there in Gilmore land? Her new movie, an indie high school drama called A Sort of Homecoming, is out this week on iTunes in the US. Her co-star is Laura Marano, Vanessa Marano’s (April) real life sister. Perhaps something to watch while we all wait for Gilmore Girls Seasons to reach Netflix.

I love Kathleen Wilhoite. I hope she is in this revival. If not, I will be very disappointed. Glad to know she has a new film coming out.

I love all of the flannel shirts in the pic of the wardrobe closet. Definitely the section with Luke’s clothes.

Thanks for the mention of Kathleen’s movie. I will be very disappointed if Liz and TJ don’t make an appearance in the revival. As the only part of Luke’s extended family we know, they enriched both the drama and comedy aspects of the show, giving his character roots and depth (and exasperation). And having Doula be a part of his family and the younger next generation of Stars Hollow would be lovely. This is especially true if the ensuing years and current story lines have not made him a father of his own children with Lorelai, as the last few seasons of the original show so strongly articulated both his and her desire for more children. That would be my very biggest disappointment. I don’t care if they aren’t married yet, but if they didn’t have children and they missed their window due to age, it would be so very, very sad. Just my opinion and wish list.

Liz will always be one of my favorite characters on GG. I just loved her sunny attitude and outlook on life and the way she bounced in and out of every scene. I don’t think she is coming back, which is sad…….

I don’t think Liz is on revival. I heard on a podcast somewhere, there is some bad vibes there. Maybe some disagreement between her and Amy? Has anyone else read or heard this?
