April Will Join a Gilmore Family Dinner

Share

Vanessa Marano is one of the returning actors to Gilmore Girls, although her character April was not one of the most loved on the series (even by her) for getting in the way of Luke & Lorelai (even if not on purpose). In an earlier interview, Vanessa shared how she hopes her return to Gilmore Girls: Seasons will help redeem April for all of us fans.

In the Gilmore Girls Revival, April will be 22, recently having completed college and with the prospect of grad school. She’s back in the series to be with her family. In a new interview, Vanessa shares that her life is discussed in detail at the dinner table! A dinner with GILMORE family members, and that’s all we get for a hint!

This show healed my heart. The relationship between Lorelai and Rory is exactly what I had with my mom before she passed suddenly when I was only 13. The show first aired the following year and I have been in love ever since. Has a very special place in my heart. So much so that my daughter’s name is Lorelai! So happy that they are doing the revival especially how so “UN-GG” the last season was!!

Random coincidence you guys might enjoy — In that clip, Vanessa Marano is with her real life sister Laura Marano, who is also an actress. Laura Marano stars in an upcoming indie movie with Kathleen Wilhoite, who played Liz Danes on Gilmore Girls. In the new movie, called A Sort of Homecoming, Kathleen plays Laura’s high school teacher and coach. (asortofhomecoming.com)

I believe Luke and Lorelai are married by now. April is maybe studying business management to someday work with Lorelai at the Dragonfly. She has been positively influenced by Lorelai more than her mom.
I hope the April character has changed into a sweet girl that is happy for her dad.
