Stars Hollow Updates for Early April

Share

Continuing our tradition of sharing Scenes from Stars Hollow each week, I bring you this week in photos!

First up, this great compilation of Gilmore Girls images featuring 3 photos of Chilton, one of Lauren Graham (Lorelai) riding a bike through Stars Hollow, then a picture of Luke’s Truck. Curious if Lorelai will be biking in the revival, and if so, WHY? Next are some anonymously taken Christmas pictures in Stars Hollow:

I love it when we see the true friendships behind the show, such as this photo posted by Sean Gunn, who plays Kirk, of himself alongside Keiko Agena (Lane) and John Cabrera (Brian):

Great time hanging out with old friends after work, the great @keikoagena and this groupie.

Tanc Sade, who plays Finn, gave us this fun video of him and Nick Holmes (Robert) riding around the WB Lot in a golf cart:

And what post would be complete without mentioning the amazing Month of April going on from the Gilmore Guys on Twitter, posting a funny April moment each day this month:

Its funny that such a minor character on GG like Finn is back for so much of the revival. I mean it could be just that Tanc is so good at teasing us and keeping us updated. But maybe Amy S-P has more to say about the Logan and Rory dynamic if the LDB is back for so many “seasons”. I really hope Logan and Rory get together in some way and form in the revival. I don’t think Jess and Rory are endgame because I don’t see him fitting in Hartford society that Rory has connections with. Jess resents rich people and would have made her choose between him and her grandparents at some point eventually. Rory wouldn’t abandon her family so I think Logan is the best compromise at the end. If only Matt czruchy had social media account then we would have at least some kind of indication what episodes Logan is in but I hope he’s in all four!!

    Sidenote:
I reached out to netflix to ask them to bring back Tristan (I love Rogan I swear) to finish business and I think thats the reason why they’re going back to Chilton…

To the above comment, I’m sorry but Rory ending up with Logan is for me the very worst possible ending! Jess doesn’t need to fit into the Hartford society – Rory was only ever bothered about that when she was with Logan. I honestly don’t think she’d care. Emily might but Richard’s gone, why would she be forced to choose between having a relationship with Emily and one with Jess? Just because Jess never cared for the pretentious a**holes such as Logan and his ilk, does not mean he would prevent a relationship with her grandmother. If anything Jess woud be defiant and force Emily to see he truly loved and cared for her granddaughter. As far as arguments go, him not liking high society,is really not a strong one. Jess for is easily the most logical, if he stayed on the path he was on last time we saw him. He’s more ambitious than Dean but far more grounded than Logan. I think that’s what Rory wants. Rory wants her own life, her own career, she worked to hard to become little more than Mrs Huntzburger. And by being with Logan, her career would always take second place to his. He would be running a muli-billion dollar business, that’s only fair and logical. If Rory wanted that, she could have said yes when he asked her to marry him. For me Logan ( only in 2 confirmed) only being present for a couple of months/ episodes, them getting back together ( because we know Rory is not with any former boyfriend when the show returns) it would feel too rushed. For me, Rory can fit into any walk of life and while she enjoyed the high life with Logan by the end she seemed bored with it. I just think she and Jess got each other better than her with anyone else. To me she was swept up by Logan. Rory in the latter seasons never had the same spark as she did in the first few. Maybe thats part of my issue with her and Logan. The only thing that saved Rory for me by the end of the show was her rejecting Logan’s proposal. It showed she still craved her independance. For me, the worst possible ending for someone like Rory is to end-up ‘taken care of’. Her career and independance was everything to her, Jess got that, Logan never did. If he he perhaps wouldn’t have asked her to get married at 22.

I vote that Jess and Rory finally end up together. As we saw he got his stuff in order and being that he moved around so much, Jess fits anywhere. Rory ending up with anyone else just doesn’t fit. Dean was her 1st love yes but that relationship has long sailed, they out grew each other. Logan and Rory never really fit, their chemistry just didn’t sell. And please, please do Not put Rory with Finn…that would just be ridiculous! Jess and Rory is what makes sense and they just go together the best. They have had enough time apart and both are now successful adults. Jess wrote a novel i’m sure he continued that path and is now a well known writer who knows how to conduct himself around any kind of person (rich or not). Their story just always seemed unfinished.

I agree Catherine. I’m very much Team Jess as I feel he’s the better person for Rory. Don’t get me wrong, I love Rory, but I didn’t always like the person she was when she was with Logan. I don’t hate Logan either, I just don’t think he’s the guy for her.
When Rory had lost her way, Jess turned up and basically got her life back on track. That alone makes him the right guy. He sees her, he knows her best and understands her he most.

External factors such as society life aside, I don’t want Rory to end up with Jess because he was a pretentious douchebag and was literally a jerk to her the whole time they dated. As a victim of sex abuse, it also disgusted me when he kept aggressively trying to have sex with her in that one episode yet people still find reasons to defend their relationship/him in particular.

Rory and Logan were practically a married couple in season 6/7, on some episodes it was baffling how they were acting like a younger version of Richard and Emily. They were more in sync than any couple in the show, more than Lorelei/Luke.

I would love for Rory to end up with Jess because i’m not a fan of Logan but i’m not delusional. Let’s be real.

I would actually love for Rory to end up alone at the end. A free spirit.

@Steph Totally agree. I’d genuinely be interested to hear how #teamjess justifies that. Even when he prompts her to turn her life around, it’s unnecessarily hostile. He’s only interested in her as a romantic partner and not as a friend. He lashes out whenever he realizes she’s in a relationship.

I am certainly team David Sutcliffe, and I liked Lorelai with Chris in a ton of ways. Their verbal sparring was delicious. It was just obvious from day one that the writers meant Lorelai to be with Luke. Luke’s supposed to be the dependable one, even though they really messed up that whole characterization when April came into the picture.

Who Rory winds up with is not obvious. She was young when she dated all three guys. I liked her with each guy when things were good, and really didn’t like her with any guy when things turned sour. I sort of wish they’d just let her remain independent. If she is to be with Jess or Logan, I hope they REALLY sell the idea that both Rory and whichever guy has changed enough to make it work.

I love Rory and Logan, I think they were it, bringing out the best when they were together, making some mistakes but growing up, for me Season 7 was finished on the Hay episode, and I hope on the new episodes they get a HEA! I liked Jess up until the point he just left Rory, and came back just to ignore her, then say ILY?, go again, back Marry Me?, back What you doing?, and she went to see him, and they kissed and she loves Logan, she realized just how mach, more than she ever did with Jess! So my team is Rogan, OTP: You jump, I jump!

I like Jess as a character and am somewhat invested in his growth so for that reason I’d like to see him in the revival. BUT not as an endgame for Rory. Their relationship never made sense to me. Beyond their shared affinity for books and music, what did they talk about? I think a lot of Jess fans give him too much credit for his S6 reappearance. We see him for about 5 minutes and in that time he yells at Rory, assumes she “fixed” things by breaking up with Logan, and offers to be her cheating buddy (again). He claims to know Rory better than anyone, but I don’t think he does. Jess does change, away from Rory and completely off screen so it always baffles me that of the 5 minutes that we do see him, he’s suddenly all matured and is now the be-all, end-all for Rory according to his fans.

Jess got one book published as a favor from some of the guys he knows at an independent publishing house. This doesn’t imply that he’s now a successful writer/globe trotter. The last time we saw him he lived above a coffee house/book store with a bunch of other guys — wow, quite a catch for a Yale graduate. Yeah… swoon? I’m convinced now.
