Last week we reported unconfirmed news that Alexis Bledel (Rory Gilmore) may or may not be pregnant. This week we can confirm that Lauren Graham (Lorelai Gilmore) has been cast yet again as a fictional mom in Middle School, due in theaters next year.
Here’s a picture of the closest I can get to Lauren in Middle School:
Ah, good times. Ol’ Prof Charleston’s in for a treat! Or a heart attack.
Middle School is based on James Patterson’s bestselling Middle School book series, revolving around the antics of Rafe Khatchadorian, an eleven year old with a plan to break every rule in his school’s oppressive Code of Conduct. Perhaps he’ll also wear a leather jacket and a charming smirk. And yes, this is the same James Patterson who writes the Alex Cross series and CBS’ Zoo amongst many others.
THR reports that Lauren will be playing Jules, Rafe’s mother opposite Rob Riggle (21 Jump Street) as her boyfriend Bear. Griffin Gluck (Just Go With It) will play the lead while Steve Carr (Paul Blart: Mall Cop) directs.
Production is set to commence this month in Atlanta and scheduled for distribution on October 7 2016.
Lauren is cast as a mom again! Although she isn’t one… what do you think about that?
I only just saw that Lauren was in Web Therapy last year, with Lisa Kudrow. Can anyone recommend?
Are you a fan of the Middle School books? Is Lauren a canny casting choice?
