In “Tips for Nailing Your Job Interview” it described perfectly everyone’s fear of being interviewed. Whether we all like it or not interviews are a vital part of getting any job or occupation. It was very useful to see questions to help people before they begin the interview process.

Along with more interview prep, “What to Wear? An Intern’s Dilemma,” I enjoyed reading what to wear and how to look presentable. I, personally, would want to ask Alexis who her biggest influence is in her acting career, and whether she would be interested in a Gilmore Girls movie. Like myself, I need to see Luke and Lorelai get married and possibly, hopefully, see Jess (Milo Ventimiglia) appear in the movie also- just to tie up loose ends :)

I love all the blogs! Extremely useful!

  4. Rosemary Cox says:

In the blog, “So…What’s a Resume,” I found all the tips and tricks to be very useful and interesting. It’s nice to have a guide and what to write and how to write it. For example, keeping work history in chronological order, get volunteer opportunities if you do not have experience in your field of interest, or put in to your resume problem-action-result (PAR) statements.

The listed desired qualities are extremely helpful and should help to make a great resume for anyone and everyone.

Also, the blog on what an intern should wear was great! I really enjoyed it and it is very detailed and precise.

  10. Kristin Hull says:

I enjoyed the section on Resumes esp. the part where it talks about common mistakes:

The most common resume mistake is forgetting your Job Objective! Show a sense of direction in your resume so you can prove to the employers how familiar you are with that field. You need to be clear about your employment goals and customize your resume objective to whatever you are applying for.

It’s so hard to find the right way to make a resume and it’s always nice when you can find things to help you see your mistakes (common mistakes) and find the right ways to correct them!

  11. Becky Thompson says:

I think my daughter deserves to win the prize for the “Post Grad” movie. Would you like to know why? My daughter and I have been fans of the Gilmore Girls for a couple of years now, we did not watch it when it was actually on air, but have since became huge fans. Two years ago, my sister purchased the entire series for us on DVD, since then we have watched it twice (the whole seven seasons) and now have started watching it a third time. I am a single mom, and my daughter, Hope, now sixteen, is the greatest kid I could ever ask for. She gets straigt A’s and has been, since forever, and is hoping to one day be an astronomer. I have always told her she could be whatever she wants to be, and hope that her dreams do come true. Alot like Lorelai always tells Rory she can be whatever she wants to be, and do whatever she wants to do, my daughter and I have quite a similar relationship. I love my kid with all my heart, and when we saw the previews for the new movie “Post Grad” with Alexis, we were really excited! We have been wishing that the series would maybe pick up an new 8th season, and when we saw the previews it reminded us so much of the show that we are so excited to go see it! So this is why I think my daughter deserves the prize! She is the best kid in the whole world, and I would never give her up for anything! Thank You! Becky Thompson

Very cool site! I loved how the blog posts reflected and referenced the themes of the movie – crafting a resume, dealing with job interviews and setbacks, maintaining friendships and relationships after graduation, finding your true passion in life, etc., and the trailer for the film looks very promising. I’ve been a big fan of Alexis since her “Gilmore Girls” days, and I’m also excited to see Michael Keaton and Jane Lynch as her parents — great casting!

  25. djgroz says:

While you’re out in the world and forming new friendships, it could feel as if you are in a James Bond movie as a double agent because your older and newer friendships are drastically different. Your older friendships have history and millions of common experiences. With your newer friendships, you are still learning about one another and are starting a new chapter of your lives together. Eventually, you are going to have to be a bridge and bring both these groups together since they are both your closest friends.

i watched the trailer for Post Grad. it looks really good!

  43. Lauren says:

I loved the entry on choosing your major according to what you love. It’s very tempting to opt for a career path that will earn you lots of money (like medicine or law), but unless you’re truly passionate about what you do, you won’t really be “living” the way that you want to. I’ve always loved art and writing – in addition to them being my strengths, they’re what I love to do best on the planet! I’m working on a double-major for them right now, and I couldn’t be having more fun. ^_^ Thanks for touching on that point! It’s overlooked WAY too often!

  44. heather says:

I really liked the Tips for Nailing Your Job Interview. I thought that it offered some really great tips, and I like the example of interview questions commonly asked, such as:
Why do you want to work here?
What are your greatest strengths? Weaknesses?
Do you have any questions for me about this organization?

There’s a lot of great tips on that site, and I’m really looking forward to the movie. Thanks for the chance!
