"Written in the Stars" All About Romance

Gilmore Girls episode ‘Written in the Stars‘ was all about romance. Not only did it have the “I’m all in” dreamy speech from Luke (Scott Patterson) & Lorelai (Lauren Graham) on their first date, but it’s also the first time that Rory (Alexis Bledel) meets Logan (Matt Czuchry)!

Rory Meets Logan Gilmore Girls

The titles of Gilmore Girls episodes are often quite significant. While this one could refer to just Luke & Lorelai and that they were fated to be, or even simply that Luke had kept the horoscope that Lorelai had written her coffee message on. But I think ‘Written in the Stars‘ also foreshadowed the deep relationship that would develop between Logan & Rory. Yes, at first Rory hates Logan and thinks that he’s pompous… but you can see the sparks of their attraction too.

The phrase ‘written in the stars’ is an idiom that means “intended to be.”

What do you think? Were Rory and Logan meant to be together – fated from the start?

  1. Tina says:

I think the title was referring to Lorelai and Luke. For me, Jess will always be the one for Rory.

  2. Ann says:

The one for Rory is Logan for sure. Rory belongs to Logan and Logan to Rory. After so many tests and hard moments, they were still together and this love is deep and mature. They are leaned in dificult moments. That true love is!!!!!!!

  3. Kelly says:

Logan and Rory all the way! If by the grace of God there is ever a GG movie, I hope to see these two reunited and living a long and happy life together.

  4. Paige says:

I’m personally going to have to agree with Tina on this one.

  5. Melissa says:

I think Logan & Rory belong together! I agree with Kelly. Hopefully there will be a GG movie and Logan & Rory can get back together!

  7. teenagetrekker says:

i like both jess and logan. however, with jess, he’s like two steps forward and one step back. plus, he feels he’s not good enogh for rory. remember the episode when jess came back from wherever and like confronted him about rory? he said, if i remember correctly, that he wasn’t good enough for her…
as for logan, there equals in the speed of talking and listening with each other which i find exciting AND he cured rory’s broken heart from dean…he balances rory because he teaches her to have fun and relax.
