Danny Strong Receives Emmy Nomination


Danny Strong, who played Doyle on Gilmore Girls, has received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Writing for a Miniseries, Movie or a Dramatic Special. The nomination was related to his HBO original movie, Recount.

In addition to Danny Strong’s writing nomination, Recount received several other Emmy nominations:

  • Outstanding Art Direction For A Miniseries, Or Movie
  • Outstanding Casting For A Miniseries, Movie Or A Special
  • Outstanding Directing For A Miniseries, Movie Or A Dramatic Special
  • Outstanding Lead Actor In A Miniseries Or A Movie – Kevin Spacey AND Tom Wilkinson were nominated
  • Outstanding Made For Television Movie
  • Outstanding Single-camera Picture Editing For A Miniseries Or A Movie
  • Outstanding Supporting Actor In A Miniseries Or A Movie – Denis Leary AND Bob Balaban were nominated
  • Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Miniseries Or A Movie – Laura Dern

    I knew that Paris was very intelligent, and that he was a very good Dork Indeed! By the way, wasn’t he already noticed as a writer there!
