  1. Jennifer says:

Luke wearing Lorelais hat is a sign of friendship and how he is putting what happened to them in the past behind him.

Yea I think it would be nice if Lorelai recipricates a sign of friendship with Luke to let him know that she is also putting the past behind her and moving on, but still wants to be friends.

Lorelai is right, in my opinion everything did come to easisly to Rory and now she is learning about perspective.

I think that at the time she wanted him to come to relax and take a break from the diner and then she could have maybe had a chance to let him know she still wants to be friends.

Rory asks Lorelai to sing because she is depressed about getting a good job, and of course that she didnt get the fellowship so she wants Lorelai to cheer her up.

I think Lorelai choose to sing “I Will Always Love You” to Rory because its cheesy in a way but she will always love her and support her no matter what path she follows in life.

I feel that when Lorelai sings her song to Luke it is more than her token of friendship and the words hold more meaning. I beleive that Lorelai just had to let her feelings out and she wasnt really aware that she was showing her emotion so the whole town could see it.

I feel that Lorelai doesnt regret singing to Luke, but she feels that he needs to make the next move.

It seems as though Luke didnt originally intend to wear his Lorelai hat, but since his other one was lost he figured he needed another one. At the same time though as he choose to wear the Lorelai hat anyway, he had to thing about what that meant in some way. He chooses to keep it on because after Lorelai sang her song, he figured maybe things were on there way to being normal again.

I feel that out of respect Logan asked Lorelai’s permission to marry Rory. In my opinion though I think Logan or Rory is not ready for this step in their lives. I beleive that Logan knew he was going to move away and that they were going to do long distance again and he didnt want that so this was a way to guarantee they would be together no matter what.
