I think that it is a character reference but after Lorelai writes it, and chris and luke hear it, it becomes so much more. It is a sign that Lorelai still has feelings for Luke.

Chris is being petty in his request that Lorelai cut Luke from her life because he has to understand that luke is still her friend and also when the role was reversed luke was aware that chris will always be in lorelais life and he began to learn to trust her.

Chris has a right to his “time” when he is needed, as a husband but i think it is limited like he shouldnt turn off his cell and act immature about it because there might have been an emergency like lorelais dad so i beleive he took it way too far.

Chris has grown up and changed a lot from the 1st season and he does prove to be more dependable but then he goes and runs away from lorelai when he is in a fight with her so that is like taking a step back.

I dont think Rory is aware the marriage is falling apart, but i feel that she already knows from his past experiences that it wont last but at the same time i feel that she does want her mom to be happy and for it to work out.

Chris is being mature in a way because he didnt want to try and fix things with Lorelai when she already loved Luke. Meanwhile Lorelai beleives that the marriage cant work out once she realizes that she has feelings for Luke and there is a lot of history there

Sookie is skeptical that Lorelai can cut Luke out of her life completly because its too soon and they have too much history so it will be too fast and lorelai will soon realize that she cant do it.

Is there a difference between cutting Luke out of her life and letting go of her feelings? Should she have to do either? Yes there is a difference Luke could be just her friend and she could let go of her feelings but i feel that they are too strong and cutting luke out of her life completly as a friend and lover is completly wrond and too much to handle. If she wants to try her marriage with chris she could try to cut luke off only as a lover but stay friends with him even though that would be hard.

Umm unfortunalty yes i beleive that chris would be the one if luke never existed in the past or future. wow great question i really like this one.

Yea i believe lorelai ran to chris because he was there and she was hurt and knew he would take her in

When lorelai sees luke wave out of the diner, lorelai is thinking about her feelings for him and whether she could cut him from her life completely.

yes i loved the my heart will go on becaseu at this moment u can see lorelai realizing her true feelings are for luke not chris.

i feel that when lorelai says your the man i want to want she is saying that chris being rorys dad of course she wants to be a complete happy family with him and make things normal.

lorelai is accepting the blame for there failed marriage and partly that is fair but also its not fair because chris did push her

chris feels sorry for lorelai but more importantly that them being a married couple has failed again and probably wont ever work out.

  2. Tiffany says:

Wouldn’t you think that Lorelai would feel sad if Paul Anka died? I think Lorelai and Sookie should’ve been a little more understanding of Michel’s greif over Chin Chin’s death. Pets are usually pretty important. The rest of the questions Jennifer covered.

loralai is just being subtle chris is being awkward and poor luke is in the middle chris still has feeling for loralai but she is engaged to luke but chris wants her back but chris can’t get it into his head that loralai wants to be friends and is not going to leave luke when they broke up that was it for chris and loralai and now loralai is with luke al of a sudden chris wants her back but i dont get why chris doesn’t wan’t loralai to date other men he is jelous that loralai has found happiness and rory well she is happy woth loralai eing with luke not chris xx

Arieanna, I’m sad that as a Vancouverite you didn’t recognize that “ChinChin” should actually be spelled “CinCin”, the Italian term used when clinking glasses prior to imbibing (I feel like Michel would be very into that, it smacks of haute couture)… it’s also the name of a long-established Robson Street restaurant :)

  5. Arieanna Schweber says:

Yes, that’s a good restaurant. But obviously the Gilmore Girls writers didn’t know about it. “ChinChin” is the official spelling, as far as I can tell. ;)

I think it could be a play on “PawPaw”, honestly.

  6. Nil-Wren says:

Yes, and,Arrieanna, with all that talent you have in writing, have you ever considered to write a book, or even a tv show?
