• Gary filling up his unemployed time by ‘attempting’ to make breakfast, doing the ‘pink’ load of laundry
• The cheerleaders bargaining for their street-style outfits – if they can get someone to be Musky the Mascot (a fish). Justin!
• Gary’s trip to Home, House & Hardware to get light bulbs turning into an ego trip – he helped a bunch of customers, as if he worked there! Redeeming his place in the world, so to speak.
• Gary going to his ‘pretend job’ at triple H. Even the employees loved him. Nobody realized he wasn’t ‘working’ there. More pride here than at his previous job!
• Justin not doing a good job dancing as the Muskies fish.
• Gary going home with a customer to install her gutters
• Justin vomiting into Raja’s book bag out of nervousness for the pep rally. Poor Raja! Not the floor. Not the garbage bin. The bag.
• Raja kicking butt as Musky!
• Gary playing basketball with the grandson of the woman he’s helping. And when that boy says he won’t improve because he has nobody to help him practice – well, Gary gets the idea to be ‘substitude dad’!
• Franny trying to get Justin back in the fish – for the social benefits and college scholarships
• The Raja-Musky headbutting a kid out of the stands for making fun of him. A little too much anonymity in the fish outfit!
• Justin deciding to try the fish again
• Gary taking his fake family to the same game that his family is at. Thankfully, it was an opportunity for Gary to tell Franny how useless he’s been feeling
• Gary goes to help Toby get back in the game but finds Justin cowering in the locker room instead. He tells Justin it’s ok to suck, but not ok to quit
• Gary rediscovering that being a good dad is satisfying
