The theme of this episode is to poke fun at the social order / school cliques / popularity. All Aliens in America episodes seem to have a theme – something brought out by comic example. I am thinking, also, that this could be the episode Scott Patterson mentioned in a recent interview – because of all the makeup he has to wear.

Scott Patterson took on a stronger role in this episode, and is central to the next episode as well.

Highlights from the episode:

• Justin’s "first girlfriend" flashback
• Raja blowing of Miss Popular (aka Justin’s first girlfriend Anita)
• Frannie’s reference to her work with the Daughter’s of the American Revolution (DAR) – coincidence? Gilmore Girls reference?
• Raja "it is as if the only value you have is your sexuality" which made Anita cry
• Raja actually getting along with Anita, to the stupefaction of the whole school
• Gary (Scott Patterson) tossing the beer bottle and missing. He’s quite the slob!
• Anita’s boyfriend jock beating on Justin because Anita won’t put out anymore
• Claire trying to usurp Anita’s place in the social order – boyfriend et al.
• Gary’s business make-over – including teeth whitening!
• Gary in the meeting at work – they want to return to ‘traditional values’ and there he is with a fake tan, fake smile, and new suit. And he thought he stuck out before! – then he wipes off some of the tan!
• Claire’s realization that the popular girls & guys are extremely lame
• Anita: "Let’s call him Justin Jr., after his dad"
• Anita returning to her ‘senses’ after Justin kissed her. And killing the "worm" that before she thought was cute.
• Justin: "Sleeping Beauty had just woken up, and took a royal dump on my heart."
• Gary reciting his day. Being called a ‘fruitcake’. That his boss thinks he’s a Native American (fake tan) so won’t fire him.
• Justin’s new power over Anita – because he’s her biggest mistake
