I loved the episode, but just not as a series finale!!! I wish that they would’ve extended this episode into 2 hours so it wouldn’t be as rushed!!! I was extremely excited about my Luke being back!! We hadn’t seen the Luke that would do anything in the world for Lorelai in about a year and a half!! And I was so glad he was back!!! I have two complaints about this episode though: There wasn’t enough L/L stuff (a.k.a. the kiss sucked) and I didn’t like that Rory was actually LEAVING!!! Hell, if I’d would’ve known that she was going to be in Iowa in the end, I would’ve wanted her to get married to Logan! The only reason I didn’t want her married to Logan was b/c she’d be moving to California!!! I really hope that they do a reunion episode, but only if ASP writes it!!! I know that that chance is slim to none, but a girl can dream can’t she!!! OR I want ASP to write a book about what she would’ve done from the point where she stopped writing the show and on!! Personally, I think that’d be a definite money maker b/c who wouldn’t want to read that?!!! Anywho, thanks for posting this episode!!! I’m gonna miss GG so much!! I cried so much last night that I felt like I had a hangover this morning…not that I’d know what a hangover felt like, but you get the picture!! :)
Geeze! that kiss between Lorelai and Luke could have been a tiny bit longer…but otherwise I think that is was a good SEASON finale, and not a good series finale…i think that they could have done a little more for us as fans, you know a little more coverage…but that is just me..I am REALLY going to miss my beloved GILMORE GIRLS!!
Did Ausiello ever find out what those Amy’s last words were that she wanted to be he last words of the series?
GREAT KISS! TERRIBLE ENDING! I loved the kiss, I wish they had expanded the Luke and Lorelai relationship more though!
I am truly sorry to see the series finale of the Gilmore Girls. I feel like I’ve lost some best friends and I’ll really miss this show. Thanks, Gilmore Girls, for all the great episodes.
Time to watch the re-runs and get those DVD season sets!
yea i really want to know because the last words that david and Lauren came up with was “I guess so” there were three……. I cryed when i watched this again…I cryed when i watched it the first time …but i still can’t wrap my mind around that there won’t be another episode next week…I’m soo use to waiting for tues. but it won’t be on there will be a rerun……soo sad
I agree that the last episode was a good season finale however, it sucked a series finale we are left on edge with no real closure. I get that the series was suppose to be about the relationship between L&R but I think that it was more than that. Over the years so many other characters & relationships have developed. I just don’t think that we got a adequate goodbye from those whom we have grown to love. No offense to the journalist but that scene was bogus!! It had nothing to do with anything. If that scene was omitted the episode still would of made as much sense as it did. We lost valuable L&L time for some space filler and we got robbed. This was a great show and I was all for finally founding out how it all ends but, now my favorite show ever ending up being a disappointment and that sucks. For all those who say it stayed true to life and blah blah blah guess what it wasn’t. It was our piece of heaven set in hello.. storybook Connecticut & that is why we watched. If I wanted reality I would watch the discovery channel. I wanted a happily ever after and the cw didn’t deliver
I think that episode was perfect…
To me the series has always been about Rory making her way through school and Yale to become a reporter, and I think now that that journey is over and she’s heading off into the world its a good time to finish the series.

I personally think that it was a good finale. The title, the content, even when Luke and Lorelie only kiss, it tells us that there is hope. Maybe its better to leave their relationship to the imagination. IDK. I liked it, and I don’t think it could be any better than that without being cheesy.
I get what your saying but personally it left us with out knowing if L&L were just friends or together. They could’ve done a 2 hour series finale Like they did for the beginning of season 2 I mean how hard would it have been just to do that….I mean they could have not rush it soo much if they had done that…. I really caint believe it’s truly over
Personally, I enjoyed the episode, I was crying during the scenes because I knew it was getting closer to the end. As far as it being 2 hours, I think the producers may have considered it but they didn’t know if this episode would be a season finale or a series finale. Nonetheless, I loved the episode and I’m going to miss my Gilmore Girls!
I love L/L kiss and Luke gave her a neckless sence.I really like Rory and Lorelai talk and other sence.
I hated this entire seasons – the writing was weak, the dialog was forced, and the cinematography was not very “Gilmore”. That being said – I think this was one of the best episodes ever. The dialog was back to normal Gilmore girls standards – quit, witty, yes a little sentimental, but that’s to be expected.
A fantastic end to a fantastic show.
As the finale, it seemed too short, but I liked it more than I thought I would. I would have liked to see L & L really discuss what they were feeling more and know that they were back for the truely happy ending. But, I think we true fans know that they would have gotten married, once she admited that she married Christopher as merely a rebound thing, as she was not over Luke, at all…As far as Rory, the ending was perfect. She always wanted to be Christine Armanpour, so we can imagine that she becomes her “mentor” and possibly colleague. She has time to get married…So, I got the good cry, especially with the last shot..but I think there was enough open endedness to make a reunion or movie! It such a sad time now without GGs!!!!
I liked this episode. I thought it was cute and sappy and it made me cry. It was a good ending. Everyone said goodbye to Rory so she could go and make her own life. Lorelai now has a better relationship with her parents and the FND will still continue and I think that they made it clear that L/L are headed toward a relationship. If the episode had been any longer it would have been to long. There would have been to many empty spaces without much talking. The ending with L/L was perfect because if they had done any more, we would have all wanted it to go on. We would have wanted a wedding and we already know that Lauren Graham didnt want to end the show with a wedding, except maybe Lulu and kirk or something like that! :-) It was a good way to say goodbye.

BAAAAAAAAAAAAAD FINALE!!!!!!!! It leaves too much to the imagination and i hate that!! I want more L&L moments!!!
I am soooo upset! My Satelite went out 1/2 way thru the show so i missed the kiss!!and the goodbye. The show the week before had me balling my eyes out, so i will just consider that my series finale. I started watching the show 3 years ago when my mother had been out of my life for about 2 years. So i lived my life kinda thru them. Its the way i always wanted my relationship with my mom. i had a baby a year ago, and we watched the show together everyday. I hope ill have a Gilmore Girls relationship with her.Its funny, one night while i was feeding her a bottle, the song came on..”if your out on the road…” And my daughter was sound asleep, she sat straight up and giggled and watched untill the song went off. I cried. It was so sweet. I will truely miss my Gilmore Girls. It got me thru alot of hard times.

I’m quite upset, I’m a BIG Gilmore Girls fan but due to undetermined circumstances I had to miss the finale. I’ve been looking everywhere for it over the past couple of weeks and just came across this site… and the videos are no longer available… does anyone know where I can find the video for the finale….

I missed the finale, but the cw started re-airing the entire season 7, so if you wait they should play it in 12 weeks or so, if they air the entire season!!!!! It’s killing me that i missed it and i have to wait for the c to re-air it, or decide to put it out on dvd! I can’t believe that they ended it with a regular length episode!!!!! But i did read that Amy Sherman-Pallidiino wants to do a two hour reunion movie in a year or two so she can end it her way!!!!! I can’t wait for that!!!!
I found the last scene!!!!! it’s mixed with the final scene of the first episode but it might hold us over til someone can post it or the cw releases it!!!!!!
