Here is the conversation between Logan and Rory about her pro/con list for which paper to write for in "Hay Bale Maze".
It really shows how much Logan has grown as a person. Very touching.

We’ll see how much he has grown after 6 months without daddy’s money and after a couple more of his crazy ideas fail. Logan is a charming, master manipulator. He says what he has to say to get what he wants. Many look at that clip and say…”ah…Isn’t that sweet.” I look at it (and I hope Lorelai looks at it) and think…”Not my daughter” Rory needs to move on.
Isn’t that the point of the clip? He is responding to Lorelai’s concerns very clearly here. By telling Rory not to factor him into her decisions, he’s ackowledging to Rory and himself, that his life is uncertain but that should not stop her for reaching for her dreams, and for once he will accomodate her.
Rory has changed Logan tremendously and it has been sweet to see that the bad boy fell for the career minded girl, but in a twist, he didn’t corrupt her (too much), as opposed to her making a man out of him.
If I step back and look at the show as a whole, what message are they sending if both mother and daughter can not have a healty, fulfilling, long term relationship? No, I think Rory will succeed where Lorelai struggled for so long.
I like the fact that on the last part of the clip there’s this whole metaphor of the fork on the road and logan chooses rory’s side
She’s much too young to commit to a life long relationship. It’s not Rory’s responsibility to change or improve Logan. She is 22 years old and people want her to settle down with a guy with whom there are major difference in value systems. The divorce rate is 50%. If they marry, I give them 2 years. (Not that we would see it) Then I guess she has her first marriage out of the way and can concentrate on doing the great things she is capable of doing. Also, responding to her fears is an interesting turn of phrase…even Rory knows he is wrong for her. She just hasn’t admitted it to herself yet. I wish people were pushing as hard to have her go to Grad school as they are pushing to get her to settle down with a guy. But hey, that’s just my opinion and we all have them.
Gina, I wholeheartedly agree with your observations. As Lorelei told her daughter so long ago that she is and will be, “The Great White Hope” of the Gilmore Family and Rory will succeed in the murky areas that Lorelei has had so much angst with. (She already has in many respects).
i think logan is great for rory they both helped each other in diffrent ways and learn from each others and their own mistakes…i dont think they should get married i think they should stay together and wait a litele longer..until rory gets a job and logan is back on track and then maybe discuss getting married but i think at this age they are to young and might not work out but if they wait a year or two and stay together they might have a better chance of the relationship lasting longer
i totally agree. for 2 seconds they let go of each other’s and then Logan grabs her’s and they walk down Rory’s path. maybe it foreshadowing…
That last part where they separate then get back together is basically the only reason I put that video up. I still say that it’s a symbol. Break up for two seconds but then get together soon. One can hope.
yea so did i abd for as long as iremember lor wanted her to succeed better then her and if i recal that was the reason they weren’t talking in the begging of the sixth season
Rory has far too many things to accomplish before she gets married and, I think, she knows it and will act accordingly. In the scheme of things, Logan is a good catch because he will ultimately end up with the Huntzberger fortune. Rory has the drive to make things happen on her own and in her own time and on her own terms. If that is how the season ends, than Lorelei will have gotten her wish for her only child.
Wow… you guys are good, lol. Very perceptive indeed. Looking back it does, seem like that, huh? I sure hope what you’re sayin’ is true though ’cause it’d be a shame to see these 2 part ways after 3 very long seasons:(
If he’s grown up, how come he still looks like a 12-year old?
GO LOGAN!!!!!!!!!!!!! he’s grown up a lot over the last three years and this scene shows how much he loves Rory, he wants her to be happy and make her own chocies in life. I really think Logan and Rory are the perfect couple, they balance each other out very well!!!!!
I am tried of people saying Logan is a rich spoiled bad guy!!!, he’s made mistakes (like we all have). there is more to him then money, Logan is very smart and reaaly loves Rory ,although Rory marrying him may be a little over the top, but i wish they’d stay together! I LOVE LOGAN
