Official summary from the CW:
Lorelai (Lauren Graham) stops into Luke’s (Scott Patterson) diner for breakfast for the first time since their break-up, but finds they are awkward and uncomfortable together. Later, Lorelai’s Jeep breaks down and she asks Luke to help her shop for a new car. While they look at cars, Lorelai and Luke’s irritation with one another finally explodes into a fight, which Lorelai secretly takes as a good sign.
Meanwhile, Paris (Liza Weil) gets accepted to numerous law schools and medical schools, and decides she must break up with Doyle (guest star Danny Strong) so their relationship won’t influence her choice of a graduate school. Finally, Rory (Alexis Bledel) gets a surprising letter that will impact her future plans.
Melissa McCarthy, Yanic Truesdale and Sean Gunn also star. Lee Shallat Chemel directed the episode written by Jennie Snyder.

BTW- I have an off topic question. How do you spell Chris’ last name? Because if anyone owns season 1 on dvd, in the DVD booklet on the episode description for ‘Christopher Returns’, it says ‘Christopher HADEN’. But literally everyone spells it Hayden. Did the booklet have a typo or something? Or is sveryone just spelling it wrong?
I think both l&l need to vent about how they treated each other and if it results in a fight I’ll take it!! At least they are talking right. Maybe lor takes it as a good sign because if he’s bothered he must still care. how sweet was that trailer I mean I just wanna squeal…….. oh and about the christopher thing I always assumed that it was with a y also. probably a typo, anybody?
i feel like squealing after that trailer too!! I watched it 10 times! I love it! Can’t wait till Tuesday!

That’s true..and the booklet just says “christopher” from then on.
His last name is pronounced ‘hay-den’ so i guess that’s how everyone assume’s its spelled

I cant wait see new episode next tuesday.I’m so happy Lorelai finally back to Luke’s diner.They look kinda uncomforable together.I was laugh when Lorelai is ride the bike on tralier.I still remember Lorelai asked Rory-do you think Luke is cute in 1 season,I love that part.

Lauren Graham is just so darn endearing in this trailer. I agree about the wardrobe, she’s been wearing willowy winter clothes all season. I’m also very sick of those “tunic” dresses she’s been wearing all season. It’s nice to see her in a fitted dress for a change like she used to. I know she had put on a little weight after she had quit smoking at the end of last season and the beginning of this season, however I think she’s slimmed down again and can work a hot wardrobe just fine!
Actually she didn’t quit smoking last season, I saw an interview with her from 2004 and she said she quit a while ago.

And i honestly still cant believe they have made us wait this long. I mean we had to wait FOUR WHOLE SEASONS, of sexual tension between L and L, and this season has just been terrible altogether coz they havent even spoken. They MUST bring GG back for a season 8 – a shortened one sounds fab, so that L and L, and Rory and Logan, can, and i know its clique, live happliy ever after.
No kidding it’s gonna be awkward for them…i mean they were gonna get married, and then they just broke up out of nowhere.
While I really like Luke, scruffy beard, hat, flannel shirt et. al, wasn’t he looking just a little rough around the edges in Tuesday’s episodes? Luke had some serious baggage under his eyes – maybe his makeup person was out sick or, when he and Lorelei start sparking again they will apply the right stuff to perk his look up. Don’t flip out, this was just an observation.

This episode looks so good. Yes, I agree on the outfits. Her wardrobe has been so depressing. It’s been so bland and unLorelai. Now her outfits are looking nice now. Same thing with Luke’s hat. He needs to wear his blue hat. The black one is depressing. It’s obvious the wardrobe and hat are reflecting the state of these two.
