Emily, Rory and Lorelai reminisce about babies as they go on a road trip together to Mia’s wedding (Mia is the old Inn owner) in North Carolina. Emily goes because Richard is driving her crazy at home; Rory goes because Logan is being immature about his business venture going awry. Rory sides with Mitchum related to Logan’s immaturity. They stay in a motel. Flashbacks are a part of the episode. Emily becomes upset at the close relationship between Mia and the girls, whom she was mother/grandmother to for many years herself. Lorelai learns Emily had asked Mia for pictures of them 5 years ago. Logan surprises Rory there to ask forgiveness. Logan quits his job.
